Job Overview

We are looking for a Program Manager to drive our strategic HR projects forward with a focus on Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB), as well as other areas of critical importance to the business.  The Program Manager will start by implementing and managing shared initiatives across Booking Holdings, acting as a liaison between our DIB Committees (Executive, Leadership and Operational) and key stakeholders, and coordinating internal and external reports and publications in this domain. This role will support the Company commitment to tangibly and constantly furthering DIB at Booking Holdings and brands in service of our mission of making it easier for everyone to experience the world.

This role will report to the Director, HR PMO and Change Management.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Execute strategic HR initiatives by developing project and resource plans in collaboration with stakeholders, monitoring and tracking progress,  driving milestones to completion and communicating all project status and issues effectively to ensure resolution and successful project completion

  • Help run the DIB Steering Committee (SteerCo) in coordination with the Executive Committee (ExCo) and third party DIB advisor/facilitator; main areas of responsibility include: 

    • Drive ExCo/SteerCo meeting agendas and annual SteerCo road map; maintain SteerCo charter

    • Track progress against goals and KPIs set by SteerCo across Booking Holdings

    • Onboard new SteerCo members

    • Support various Operational Committees (OpCo) to inform, and execute on, priorities agreed by the SteerCo

    • Conduct necessary research/data gathering and create business cases for making recommendations to SteerCo based on shared priorities/opportunities across the Company 

  • Support the design and implementation of DIB programs and initiatives for our corporate business unit (~150 people) as well as the brands (~20,000 people), in line with Company-wide priorities/goals/KPIs. Keep SteerCo sufficiently informed on the status of key DIB initiatives, projects and programs.  For example: 

    • Provide day-to-day program management for Executive and Director-level training in coordination with a third-party vendor

    • Coordinate bi-annual inclusion survey, etc.

  • Coordinate with various People Analytics functions across our brands to prepare internal reports, including annual DIB report/scorecard, quarterly diversity dashboards, materials for management / Board updates and other ad hoc materials

  • Prepare, coordinate and/or support external publications such as our EEO-1 report and public disclosure on our website, annual CEI survey, DIB related sections of 10-K, Proxy and Annual Sustainability Report

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8-12 years of experience

  • Experience successfully delivering programs and/or multiple projects on-time, in scope, on budget and to agreed level of quality

  • Passionate about promoting Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, and enthusiastic about continued personal learning in this domain

  • Experience operating in a global environment with appreciation of cultural differences, and ability to build consensus across geographies and business units

  • Experience building business cases and presenting to various stakeholders, including senior leadership, in a way that generates understanding and alignment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (research, writing, editing, presentation, speaking) with the ability to quickly build credibility and influence

  • Self motivated and successful in operating independently with limited oversight; strong sense of personal accountability

  • Analytical mindset, with ability to draw actionable insights from data to tell a narrative and create action plans
